Finding the Inner Artist - the truth

I’ve been working on discovering the “inner artist” for a while now. You can find my journey in the NEWS section.
So it seems like finally this energy has started to talk back.
And I’m freaking out. It is revealing the innermost processes that I am going through!

The ugly truth?

Maybe I should indeed refer to this discovery as the ugly truth?

Look at this:

I made this collage painting a while back, when I was struggling with a lot of different issues. I was frustrated to say the least.
Bear with me while I explain how this was later on revealed to me.

The waiting room

I was just playing around with things, using different images to create a collage and then working on colors, composition and adding custom brush touches. The result is what you see here.

The stupid thing is that it really didn’t dawn on me what I had created, until AFTER it was finished.
You can see it is pretty moody and stagnant. Guess what: that is EXACTLY how I felt at the time.
I was waiting for a potentially life altering verdict, hanging in limbo.

Next: it's reading my thoughts

No. I am not talking about AI or my smart TV or phone.

I’m exploring the world of dragons. Reading the book by Tanis Helliwell called the Dragon’s Tale. And as I am living in dragon country (with many so called “dinosaur” artifacts) I was getting impressions about the dragons.

The first thing that came up was the kundalini channel and a request to elongate my neck*. A bit odd, yes, I know. But I really did not think about this until I realized that I had actually elongated the neck of the doll in this painting …
And I wasn’t even working on imagery with dragons.

Better pay attention ...

So while I was starting to contemplate on giving up on this search altogether, it turned out that I was looking in the wrong direction.
While I am usually focused on creating beauty and vision, these recent paintings have shown a not so bright picture.

Not sure why I did not see it before.
Ugly things can only be transformed when they are brought to the light. I wasn’t going to publish these images, as I don’t want to burden viewers with what seems to be more of a “therapy” session. 🙂

I think the “inner artist” has been talking to me all along, I just did not realize in which way.

*Elongate the neck.
I did some research on this and found the following:
It is said to originate from the Kayan people in Myanmar.
“Kayan folklore centers on the belief that the Kayan people are descended from a union between a female dragon and a male human/angel hybrid”
