Purrfect: art just for cat lovers

One of the key joys of hanging out with cats is how they tend to make us laugh and go into “playful mode”. After creating products on Zazzle for many years, I found that a lot of what I made was created from a focus of “design for a product”.
For now I am stepping away from that concept.
This decision is not only giving me time to reset, but also revealed how different it is to create just for fun as opposed to sell to what customers want.
I have embarked on a journey of discovering the “inner artist”. Of course there are many cats in this story …

WHIMSICAL

Somehow there is also something slightly “weird” when painting cats.
Or is that just me?

WHITE CAT

The color white stands for
new beginnings and a clean sheet.
It’s what comes to mind when contemplating aging.
An elderly couple is strolling in a forest . At a leisurely pace, enjoying the beautiful leaves and autumn colors. In many countries the population is aging and it makes us reflect on what that might mean. Other than ailments, there is always beauty and for some: togetherness.
The couple may not be aware that a fresh new start is already visible, as it’s unexpected: who would have thought a pure white kitty would wander through the forest?
I for sure didn’t, but you know how that happens: cats just find their place everywhere!
It’s definitely a message of hope. If reflecting it onto the world today, the fall season would be the beginning of death and ending (as we see everywhere around us). But it is only apparently so: everything in it’s own way is already preparing for a new spring.
And it looks like it’s coming on soft white velvety feet … with love …

Keep an eye on the news!

Combining the chic elegance of a lady with the whimsical fluffiness of a cute kitten, against the backdrop of a gorgeous waterfall.
The kitten has a message for the lady. Or rather: she is speaking to her “inner cat”.
The magic is that the lady hears this message, despite the noise of the thundering waterfall.
The sun is about to set, the message arriving exactly at the right time.
Whatever is going on in our outside world, there is always genuine beauty on the inside, for everyone.

This cute black cat managed to teleport herself to a magical country side at night. Or maybe it had to do with some mice friends living there?
Who knows …
I used a variety of different techniques and some stock images with Photoshop and Rebelle.
The peaceful silence in this night time landscape invites to inner reflection or dreaming away, whichever you prefer!
